Mario Carbotta's
brilliant international career: virtuosity and teaching in the music world

 


Internationally renowned flutist Mario Carbotta has captivated audiences around the world with performances in New York, Montreal, Tokyo, London, Beijing, Toronto, Geneva, São Paulo, Istanbul, and Bucharest at prestigious venues such as the Musikverein in Vienna, the Rudolfinum in Prague, and the Seoul Arts Center as a guest at such International Festivals as Santander, Perelada, Festival van Vlanderen-Limburg, Ljubliana, Varna, and Zagreb.

He has played as a soloist with more than 80 prestigious orchestras, including the Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich Wien, European Union Chamber Orchestra, Deutsches Kammerorchester Frankfurt, Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra, Israel Sinfonietta, Mexico State Symphony Orchestra, Juventus Collegium FOK in Prague, Beijing Radio Television and Film Philharmonic.

His critical editions (Suvini Zerboni) and acclaimed recordings (Dynamic) demonstrate his expertise both as a musician and scholar.

In addition to his solo career, he has given master classes in musical institutions and music schools in Italy, Brazil, Bulgaria, Poland, Spain, Austria and the United States, and is currently a flute teacher at the State Conservatory “Giuseppe Nicolini” in Piacenza.
